Harney & Sons’ Paris (review)

by Lainie P on February 11, 2010

Name: Paris

Brand: Harney & Sons

Type: Black tea, flavored

Form: Silky tea bag

Review: Paris is a blend of black tea, citrus, black currant and caramel flavors. The nose on the dry leaf is dominated by caramel with a backnote of the black currant. Once infused, the black currant moved forward, with the caramel playing the supporting role. The tea is very smooth and the flavors quite seamless, though I really didn’t detect any citrus.

I was impressed by the quality of the flavor in this tea: It reminded me of many of the French teas that I have tried, and yes, I do think “Paris” is a fitting name for it. Quite refined and elegant, I’d recommend this as an afternoon tea.
