Chicago-based Ambassador Organic's White Peony tea is a great alternative to traditional black breakfast teas.
Two bits of business:
I have several podcasts coming up this week including an interview with Lori Watts-Branch of SenTeaMental Moods (a Chicago-based tea company) at 2pm (Central) on Wednesday, January 13th, and another interview with Jim Schreiber of Chicago-based Shui Tea that same evening at 7pm. We will be discussing the challenges of owning a small tea business as well as some of the unique teas offered by each company.
On Thursday Susana Mojica from Milwaukee’s Rishi Tea will be my guest. Join us at 2pm on January 14th for a discussion about Rishi’s unique place in the tea world and America’s growing tea culture.
All three shows will be archived and you can get show details by visiting here.
Also, in honor of National Hot Tea Month, I have been writing reviews of teas sold or blended by Chicago-area tea companies for Examiner.com. Below is a list of reviews. . .I encourage you to check these teas out!

Wow, what a bunch of neat sounding teas. Really want to try tthe sencha with orange. I always wanted a church pew for myself but by the time I found the one I liked, I had no room – phoo.
