I have some exciting news, as well as a special request.
In April of 2009, John Caplan (former CEO of Ford Models and President of About.com), launched “The OpenSky Project“. OpenSky is a collection of online shops, each hosted by a “Shopkeeper”: A passionate expert or enthusiast who “stocks” only the products he or she absolutely loves and wants to share with others.
OpenSky recently approached me about joining their team of Shopkeepers, (what an honor!) and I am working hard to get my store up and running. Each product in my store will be chosen by me because I love it and I think that other tea-people will love it too.
(Incidentally, all purchases are backed by OpenSky’s “no-hassle” return policy, which lets you return items, in their original condition, for any reason within a year. OpenSky even pays for the return shipping!)
During this time I may not be able to post as much (though I will still be posting regularly), so I ask your patience while I get my store stocked and ready to go. I also have two more things to ask of my readers:
1. The need for relief funds for Haiti is enormous. Now through Sunday, OpenSky is donating 100% of its profits to Haitian relief. By shopping at OpenSky, you will be able to get some unique products for yourself and help the relief effort at the same time.
2. I am looking for suppliers for my store. Teaware makers, importers, tea blenders, tea-cozy designers. . .you name it, I want to try it. If I love it, I want it in my store.
