Name: Red Rocks

Brand: The Tea Spot

Type: Tisane, rooibos

Form: Loose leaf

Cost: $9.99 for a 3.25 ounce tin, $3.00 for a sample via The Tea Spot’s website. Quantity discounts are available, and Amazon is now offering a set of two tins for $17.09.

Review: This super-yummy rooibos tisane is a great holiday option for those who are avoiding caffeine. Red Rocks comes in a cute little tin (double lidded for extra freshness) and has a sweet, but substantial, nose of vanilla and almond. It brews up to a lovely red/orange liquor, with a very “harmonious” taste: It is hard to tell where each flavor begins and ends, as the vanilla/almond/rooibos is so well matched and blended.

While I like this tisane as-is, you might want to try adding a bit of honey and milk, or perhaps some almond milk, for a richer treat.

Availablity: Red rocks is available through The Tea Spot and Amazon.com.
