Interview with Big Island Tea: Sustainable Tea Farming in Hawaii

I just had the pleasure of interviewing Cam Muir and Elisha Halpenny, owners of Big Island Tea. Big Island Tea is a tea farm and producer on the Big Island of Hawaii, and one that makes some very tasty tea. The podcast can be played or downloaded at either Blog Talk Radio or iTunes Store.

As a side note, I found this to be a fascinating, and exciting, interview. I learned quite a bit about tea agriculture and sustainable farming practices, and I do encourage my readers to give this a listen. It is rare that we in America get to hear from the people who actually grow our tea, so this was a great treat.

Great interview, Lainie. It was a hit with the tea lovers on the Internet, and it’s obvious why. The Hawaii tea people are just wonderful and smashingly successful at what they’re doing.

Jason: They are awesome people and I loved both their tea and how they are making it.
