Cha Cha Tea’s Yuzu (grapefruit) Oolong (review)

Review: I love green oolongs and I don’t often like ‘em flavored, as I think of oolongs as being flavorful enough on their own. But I have to admit that Yuzu Oolong from Cha Cha Tea is a mighty good tea indeed.

Yuzu is a Chinese grapefruit, and while I am normally not fond of grapefruit, the Yuzu flavoring in this tea is sweet and fruity enough that I found it most refreshing. The citrus notes blended well with the green oolong, making this tea a great way to start my day. It is perhaps even better iced, so I would recommend trying it both ways.

This tea is a great option for folks who enjoy drinking grapefruit juice in the morning, and I would really recommend it as a breakfast tea. . .the kicky citrus and green oolong will perk up even the most stubborn sleepyhead.

I found similar results when I drank a Yuzu flavored Oolong from Naivetea. I wasn’t into flavored tea, especially Oolong, but I just loved it. The yuzu rivals orange as a tea taste, in my opinion.
