Review: Rooibos Savannah is flavored with almond bits, cocoa pieces and chocolate-rum flavoring. The dry nose of this tisane is primarily dominated by the rum flavoring, with the almond and chocolate providing a somewhat weak backnote.
Once infused, the chocolate notes begin to emerge in the nose, though on the palate, one mostly tastes the almond and rum. I had to really pay attention to pick up the chocolate. The flavors do mesh well with the hearty rooibos, making this a tasty, if unremarkable, rooibos tisane.
