Review: This is a very mild, very clean-tasting green tea from Narien: Great as an “introductory” green tea, but also as a tea for folks who are looking for a nice, mild green tea to go with food or just for sipping.
The dry leaf are twisty and vary in size from fairly short to long. Their color is brown, with some dark olive and a smattering of some silvery tips. The nose is mild and sweet: Reminding me a bit of green bell pepper, minus any pungency.
The tea infuses to a very pale yellow with a hint of green. The nose on the infused tea remains sweet and mild: The tea itself maintains its mild vegetal characteristics while also offering a hint of fruit (apricot?). This tea has a refreshing, “juicy” quality that makes it a pleasure to drink.
There is no grassiness or bitterness in this tea, making it an excellent “starter” tea for tea newbies. But don’t think that this tea’s mildness makes it insipid or boring: It is a truly tasty, soothing tea that is just the thing on a pleasant summer afternoon.
Tips: Don’t try preparing this as an iced tea. It is too subtle for that.

I reviewed this one a couple months ago on my blog as well. I really enjoyed it. As you say, it’s a very light, delicate tea – perfect for a morning tea or later in the afternoon. I picked up some lovely fruity aromas in this tea, especially strawberry and grape.
