Name: Lipton Green Tea, Lemon Ginseng
Brand: Lipton
Type: Green tea, flavored
Form: Paper tea bags, individually wrapped.
Cost: About $3.50 per 20 bag box, quantity discounts available

Review: Found this Lipton green tea at my local grocery store, and since I am fond of ginsing, decided to give it a try. The dry nose is of both lemon and spice, and the tea infuses to a pretty, yellow-green liquor.

Unlike Lipton’s Orange-Passionfruit-Jasmine Green Tea, which masks the green tea with too much fruit flavor, the tart lemon and spicy ginsing nicely compliment the green tea. There is a slight astringency in the finish of this tea, and while it isn’t a very complex brew, it is also quite tasty and refreshing.

A very pleasant surprise. I am going to buy more of this!

Recommendation: This is a great, inexpensive option for those who aren’t sure about green tea, but want to start drinking it. Quite yummy, really.
