Name: Rooibush Chocolate
Brand: TeaGschwendner
Form: Loose Leaf
Cost: $7.90 for 100 grams
Review: TeaGschwendner typically does a great job with its flavored rooibos/rooibush tisanes, and this is no exception. The leaf infuses to a gorgeous reddish-copper, with a nose of honey and chocolate.
As might be expected, this is a full-bodied tisane: Rich, slightly sweet, but not at all cloying. The chocolate notes that were so apparent in the nose are more muted on the palate: In fact, I would say that the tisane tastes more like cocoa than chocolate. (Not that this is a bad thing.)
I suppose one could experiment with adding some milk and sweetening to this tisane, but I don’t really see that as necessary. It has its own creamy sweetness that needs no enhancement.
Recommendation: Yummy calorie-free treat. Great for “treating” chocolate cravings!

mmm- sounds good! Where is tea geschwender again?
or is it a website?
Claire,
If you click on the “brand” link it will take you to TeaGschwendner’s website which has information about their locations and online ordering. (Here in Chicago they are at State and Division.)
Also, I did a profile on TeaGschwendner at the Examiner.com: http://www.examiner.com/x-6246-Chicago-Tea-Examiner~y2009m3d31-Tea-Gschwendner-Brings-Loose-Leaf-Tea-to-Chicago
It’s a great place!
