Name: Organic Tropical Goji Green Tea
Brand: Two Leaves and a Bud
Type: Green tea, flavored
Form: Leaf tea in a silken, pyramid bag
Cost: Box of 15 is $7.99
Review: The base of the tea is China-grown sencha, a clean-tasting and slightly sweet green-tea, combined with goji berries and natural berry flavor.
(I have come to the conclusion that I just really, really like green and/or green oolong teas that are berry-flavored. Yes, I know that berries come in different flavors, but there is a certain “juiciness” that is characteristic of all berries, and green/green oolong teas just marry well with it.)
Organic Tropical Goji Green Tea has the mouthfeel of 2 % milk with a very slight butteriness which enhances the berry flavor. The buttery note is less intense than that which is in the Six Summits Oolong, but it is nonetheless very tasty. Along with the sweetness of the sencha, and its rich mouthfeel, this buttery quality contributes to this being a “treat” tea that ought to be good for those craving more caloric snacks.
Recommendation: Lovely, tasty tea which would be a great introductory tea for green tea newbies.
