Any blogger knows that comments are the lifeblood of our craft. Comments encourage us, challenge us, and give us fresh ideas for posts. We also know that when we comment on other people’s blogs, we not only help them, but we help ourselves by increasing awareness of our blog as well as establishing ourselves as someone (hopefully) worth reading.
Successful blogger John Smulo has taken it upon himself to declare December 3rd “Blog Comment Day 2008“, and is asking bloggers and blog readers to do the following:
- On December 3, 2008 you will leave one comment on at least 5 different blogs.
- Out of the 5 blogs you comment on, at least 2 of them will be blogs you haven’t commented on previously.
Are you in? Please spread the word by blogging on this, adding this link to Facebook, Tweeting the news, Digging/Stumbling, or any other way that you can think of promoting this great project. Also, don’t forget to visit John’s blog and letting him know that you will be participating!
I can’t wait ’till the 3rd!

Hi Lainie. Great idea. I’m going to leave a bunch of comments for some of my favorite bloggers today.
Also thank you much for the link to TeaThis.com in blogroll (it’s one of my sites). I’ll return the favor.

Hi Lainie! I found your blog through Entrecard. I’m a tea-addict, so this is the right blog for me.
I was surprised to see Pickwick in your banner; I thought it was only available over here in the Netherlands.

Hey Lainie, I’m here because Blog Comment Day prompted me to have a look around my old blog hauntings (having been out of it for a while).
How interesting to see all this stuff about tea. I love ordinary bog standard tea, but I’ve never tried ANY of this type of stuff. But you whetted my appetite…literally! What would be a good place to start???
Paul Walker,
Hrm, well, as a Brit, I am assuming that you are fond of black tea, correct?
I’d suggest moving into some Chinese blacks (as opposed to the Indian blacks favoured in the UK). I really like stuff from Yunnan. If you can tell me more about your preferences, I’d be glad to make some suggestions.
