Hi Jay!

Great blog, and thanks so much for stopping by. I've added your blog to my blogroll, btw.

Tea can definitely be a great tool in weight loss, so I am glad that you enjoy it. I'd just caution you to speak to your doctor about drinking lots of tea (or anything else). . .I have no idea what sort of concerns there might be (if any).

Take care, and hope to see you soon!

How great to stumble across your blog! I visited Ireland in May and developed a bit of a "tea habit," and since returning home have purchased loose leaf breakfast tea, a strainer, tea pot, silver sugar tongs (thanks, eBay), sugar cubes and other great tea doodads. The purchases weren't expensive (lots of these things can be found at rummage sales and thrift shops, as well as eBay). I enjoy the ritual as much as the tea. Nearly two years ago I had a liver transplant and can no longer drink wine, which I love, and now I can have a cup or two of tea in the early evening instead. Tea - it's the new wine :) And I'm intrigued by the tea diet book - like most other liver transplant patients, I have gained weight since my surgery (weight gain is very commonplace and very unhealthy post-transplant) and losing/maintaining a healthy weight is tremendously important. Perhaps this is an option for me that my docs will endorse! Thanks.

Hi Nancy!

Thanks for stopping by. There are some herbal tisanes that can be great for insomnia. Try Mighty-Leaf's Chamomile Citrus. For myself, white tea is often very relaxing. It is low in caffeine and what little caffeine is in it can be removed by steeping for 30 seconds, throwing the water out, and then resteeping. I like Tea Gschwendner's Elderflower White Tea. Try some white tea and see what you think!

This book sounds like it is a wealth of information! Congrats on your weight loss ~ keep up the good work! Have you run across a brand and or flavor of tea that really works well for insomnia - think we all probably have times when we just can't get to sleep or stay asleep??!!
